New Home More Lives

Derrick’s father died when his mother was still pregnant with him. As an infant and toddler, his mom struggled just to provide daily food. She knew that she could not provide the future for her son that she hoped for him, so at age 5 she took Derrick to Harvest Children’s Home (HCH). He lived there until he was 20 years old.

That’s when everything began to change for Derrick. He shared: “While in HCH, I was promised a future through the good food that I ate every day, the shelter given me and most importantly I was given the chance to go school, the greatest gift I ever desired for myself…”

Derrick is now in his 3^rd year of University...

earning a degree in Communications and is becoming the kind of man that any parent would be proud of. Looking back on his time at HCH, Derrick writes: “I know and anyone who has passed through this institution can testify with me that these people are unreciprocal in the love and care that they render to children and the vulnerable. This institution is unique and selfless. I love HCH, I love Cry Cameroon ministry.”

We thank God for the good work He is doing through Cry Cameroon dba Harvest Children’s Homes, our staff and each one of you who are involved in being Hope-Makers for these precious orphans.
